ASSE 6005 Generalist

The ASSE 6005 Medical Gas Systems Generalist Seminar is an entry level course for any individual interested in basic medical gas, vacuum systems, and equipment.  Students commonly enrolled for this class are estimators, project managers, and or individuals new to healthcare facilities that currently do not have the prerequisites or experience for another ASSE 6000 Credential.

ASSE 6005 Certification requires a minimum 24 training course which provides general knowledge of medical gas and vacuum systems.  This standard provides minimum criteria, identified by an industry consensus, for Medical Gas Systems, and to ensure compliance with the ASSE 6001 Standard.  ASSE 6005 credentialed persons shall be able to identify and show general, product performance, products installation, system, component, testing and documentation knowledge of medical gas and vacuum systems.

Exam will be 50 questions with a minimum passing score of 75% and will cover material from the ASSE 6005 and applicable sections of NFPA 99 newest edition.  

Every three years individuals shall be recertified by review of the latest edition of NFPA 99 followed by a written exam that shall be a minimum of 25 questions with a minimum passing score of 75%.
